Professor Aviva Chow is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacology and Pharmacy, Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine, The University of Hong Kong (HKU). Professor Chow earned his Bachelor in Chemical and Bioproduct Engineering from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and PhD in Pharmacy from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Before joining HKU, Professor Chow served as Technical Lead at Jacobson Pharma Corporation Limited.
 

Professor Chow is internationally recognised for research in inhaled and nose-to-brain therapies for respiratory and neurological diseases, nanoparticle-based drug delivery, and crystal engineering of pharmaceutical solids. Professor Chow has authored more than 50 peer-reviewed publications in leading journals of pharmaceutical science and secured over HKD 20 million from various sources. In addition to leading an active research programme at HKU, Professor Chow serves as Project Leader at the Advanced Biomedical Instrumentation Centre (ABIC) under the InnoHK programme and is co-founder of Inhalixir Limited and CereThera Limited. His recent honours include the Special Grand Prize and Gold Medal with Congratulations of the Jury at the International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva, the Healthy Longevity Catalyst Awards, and inclusion in Stanford University’s World’s Top 2% Scientists List.
