Eligibility

• The abstract must be based on research work conducted by or in collaboration with members of
  The University of Hong Kong.

• Each abstract can only have one presenting author, who may or may not be the first author.

• Each presenting author can submit a maximum of 2 abstracts. There are no limits on submissions as
  co-authors.

Submission Method

• Please complete the Abstract Form and submit it online via Qualtrics by September 25, 2026 (Friday) 12:00nn.

• No changes to abstracts will be accepted after submission.

• Late submission or submission through any other channels (e.g. email, fax, or paper form) will not be considered.

Evaluation & Result Announcement

• All abstracts will undergo peer review by the Organising Committee, evaluated on criteria such as abstract quality and clinical/research significance. The Committee reserves the final decision on whether the abstract will be accepted for oral or poster presentations, publication only, or rejected. Please note that the preferred presentation format is not guaranteed and will be subject to the Committee's final decision.

• The selection results and presentation guidelines (for shortlisted abstracts) will be announced via email in mid-October 2026.

• Accepted abstracts will be published in the 32ⁿᵈ MRC Programme book.

Oral & Poster Presentation

• All presentations will be conducted in English and held in-person on November 14, 2026 (Saturday). The exact presentation time will be announced nearer the date.

• Presentation files must be submitted to the Conference Secretariat no later than October 20, 2026 (Tuesday).

• Presenting authors must register and attend the conference in-person. Failure to register will be considered as withdrawal of the abstract.

• A certificate of presentation will be issued to the presenting author after the conference.

Awards

The Best Abstract Award and the Best Poster Award will be presented to recognise the most outstanding presentations. Award recipients will receive a certificate and cash prize as follows:

• Best Abstract Award in Basic Science & Translational Research: HK$800

• Best Abstract Award in Clinical Research: HK$800

• Best Poster Award: HK$500
